SECURING THE CLOUD. DEFENDING INTELLIGENCE.
I'm Balachandar, a 3rd-year CSE student specializing in AI/ML, on a mission to become a Cloud Security and AI/ML Security Engineer. I believe the next generation of threats will target AI systems and cloud infrastructure โ and I'm building the skills to defend both.
Two domains. One mission โ Secure Everything.
AWS ยท IAM ยท VPC ยท CloudTrail ยท Security Hub
Designing secure cloud architectures, implementing least-privilege IAM policies, monitoring threat patterns in AWS environments using CloudTrail and GuardDuty.
Adversarial ML ยท Model Security ยท Threat Detection
Studying adversarial attacks on machine learning models, building ML-powered intrusion detection systems, and exploring how AI systems can be secured against data poisoning and model theft.
Built a machine learning model trained on NSL-KDD dataset to classify network intrusions (DoS, Probe, R2L, U2R). Achieved 94% accuracy using Random Forest + feature engineering.
Automated Python script that scans AWS accounts for misconfigurations โ open S3 buckets, over-permissive IAM roles, unencrypted storage, exposed security groups.
Bash script collection for Ubuntu system hardening โ disables unused services, configures UFW firewall rules, enforces SSH key-only auth, sets up fail2ban.
Building a verified security career, one cert at a time.
Amazon Web Services
โ COMPLETEDValidates foundational AWS cloud knowledge including core services, security model, pricing, and architecture.
CompTIA
โก IN PROGRESSIndustry-standard cybersecurity certification covering threats, cryptography, network security, and compliance.
Red Hat Inc.
โ PLANNED NEXTEnterprise Linux system administration โ reinforcing sysadmin foundations critical for security engineering.
CERTIFICATION PATH
What makes me different from every other applicant.
I don't just know cloud. I don't just know AI/ML. I know how attackers exploit BOTH โ and how to stop them.
I daily-drive Ubuntu, write Bash scripts, manage kernels, and troubleshoot at the OS level โ not just theoretically.
AWS certified as a student. Security+ in progress. I invest in verified credentials, not just tutorials.
I think like an attacker to defend like an engineer. From IAM misconfigs to adversarial ML โ I study the threats first.
